Daytime competition showcase

Each year BLDF hosts an international competition called the World Salsa Solo.

Dancers compete in various Latin dance styles, categories and levels.

The competition occurs across the following days/times:

Thursday 28 Nov 2024 (6pm-11pm)
Friday 29 Nov 2024 (9am-5pm)
Saturday 30 Nov 2024 (9am-5pm)
Sunday 1 Dec 2024 (9am-5pm)

Evening showcase and competition finals

From Thursday to Sunday evening, you will be treated to a spectacular showcase, including local, national and international performances and competition categories.

Performance Schedule 2024

The Thursday evening stage program comprises of the following competition categories:

Freestyle heats
Solo battles
Choreography: Pro/Masters categories (teacher/student)
Choreography: Pro/Semi-Pro categories (teacher/student)

The Friday and Saturday evening stage program comprises of performances by local, national and international artists and teams (performance list coming soon)

The Sunday evening stage program comprises of the following World Salsa Solo finals:

Pro Female Salsa Soloist (top 4)
Pro male Salsa Soloist (top 4)
Open Salsa Duets/Couples (top 4)
Open Teams (top 4)
